Marine Engineering

The newest service from Woodstock Boatbuilders is our marine engineering department. We can undertake activities such as servicing diesel engines, preparing for decommissioning of yachts for dry docking and then re-commissioning the yachts before they go back in the water. The department also offers engineering for hydraulics, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, motors such as windlasses and winches, servicing of cold water systems, generators, exhausts and water pump impellers.

The benefit of having marine engineering work carried out at Woodstock Boatbuilders is that owners or captains can take advantage of the other services Woodstock Boatbuilders offer, which allows a multi-faceted project to take place. For example an owner or captain could tie in other services on offer such as paint refinishing, metal machining and fabrication, structural work, new teak decks or the composite shop, all of which are housed under the same roof. Woodstock Boatbuilders also assign each job a project manager who coordinates all the work, which results in less down time for the yacht.

We are agents for Westerbeke - manufacturers and suppliers of world-class marine generators, industrial generators, marine engines and marine products for many of the world's leading yacht builders; indeed for all seasoned Captains who demand performance and reliability from their marine engine or generator.

We are also agents for Fischer Panda who manufacturer superior generators - the only genuine, fresh water-cooled, asynchronous generators. Proprietary technology supports the manufacturing of outstanding, quiet generators that are both small and lightweight.

Our head of engineering recently completed a three day course in maintenance and servicing Fischer Panda generators. This is characteristic of our commitment to continued staff training and improvement.
